Stargazer Lilly

I was amazed by the amount of fragrance that one lone stargazer lily stem produced in my studio today! 

Feeling Tropical

Huddled up next to the radiator, I stood in my studio and breathed deep trying to memorize the sweet smell of the lily. Today felt almost tropical at 20 degrees. The cold snap here in Minnesota has finally lifted after living below zero for the last couple of days. It felt like the perfect day to paint something that reminded me of spring!
