Sunday in the Park
This painting began as plein air study on a sunny Sunday morning. I had made my way to Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
After spending a couple of hours working, my light had begun to change. Sometimes, no matter how much you love being outside and painting, you reach the point of saturation. I needed to pack things up and head back home. That small plein air sketch was enlarged and expanded into this painting back in the studio.
